The Denver Nuggets could only claim one win in their Round 1 series against the Golden State Warriors, but Nikola Jokic still received a sweet consolation award. On Monday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski news that Joker will be named MVP for the second consecutive season, becoming the 15th player to win the award more than once. The 27-year-old’s second MVP season was even better than his first, as he set career highs in points, rebounds, steals, tackles and shot rate. The 2021-22 season certainly doesn’t go as planned for the Nuggets, but with Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr scheduled to return from injury to join the current two-time MVP next season, the Nuggets look like a force to be reckoned with for the foreseeable future.
Which brings us to today’s puzzle. The NBA began awarding MVPs during the 1955-56 season. Since then, the award has been awarded 67 times, including Jokic’s most recent win. So, with that in mind, how many players can you name an NBA MVP Award in five minutes?
