The Rams will travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers in battle to advance to the NFC championship game.
After the Bengals and 49ers, both weaker teams, beat their opponents in split-round matches on Saturday, the Rams will attempt to continue the trend against the Buccaneers.
Los Angeles clinched a 34-24 win in the team’s final encounter with Tampa Bay, which took place in Week 3. The Buccaneers hadn’t scored a win against the Rams since 2019, a year before Tom Brady became the boss. the four defenders of the franchise.
Following a 34-11 win over the Cardinals at the Wild-card weekend, the Rams will be challenged for a win along the way. Midfielder Matt Stafford completed 13 of 17 202-yard passes with two touchdowns. He also dashed in six tries in 22 yards and scored a hasty touchdown. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has also had one of his best games of the year since joining the Rams. He scored four catches for 54 yards with a touchdown and he completed a 40-yard deep pass. Beckham, who cash in a big bonus in victory, is also rewarded with a random drug trial for his efforts.
Stafford will likely need to rely on Beckham, Cooper Kupp and the rest of the Rams’ wide-reception corps on Sunday after Tampa Bay’s defense only allowed a total of 95 yards against the Eagles last week.
Brady helped the Buccaneers to a 34-15 win over the Eagles in a Wild-card game and completed 29 of 27 271-yard passes with two touchdowns. Backrunners Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Giovanni Bernard also scored two quick touches against Philadelphia. The Bucs kept the Eagles on just 122 yards through and 61 total yards of charge last week, and Brady will be challenged to build offensive momentum for the Buccaneers. However, All-Pro tackler Tristan Wirfs and Pro Bowl midfielder Ryan Jensen both suffered ankle injuries in the win attempt and were restricted from training this week. Wirfs is a late scratch, officially ruled on Sunday. Jensen will play, but not 100%.
The latest development upfront will inevitably affect the Bucs’ game plan, leaving Tom Brady vulnerable and will limit their mobility.
The Buccaneers are home favorites with three points, according to FanDuel. It is scheduled to begin at 3:05 p.m. ET.
