Support mod for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild The past few years have been excellent.

One thing we have yet to see is multiplayer support. As you may recall, someone last year offered $10k for anyone who can make a mod for BotW for this to happen. And with this in mind, a modder named Alex Mangue recently uploaded some clips to YouTube to show what they’re up to (thanks for the tip, @ Swiftfeet16).

This project has originally teased by the creator last November and in the latest video update you can see a group of players currently running around Hyrule together. While there are certainly some sync issues, it’s all work in progress.

One thing the creators have worked hard on is “synchronizing enemy health” – so players can participate in battles together. It’s still in the early stages, so there’s no release attached to it yet, but if we get any updates we’ll be sure to let you know.

What do you think of this ambitious project? Interested in multiplayer Zelda? Comment down below.
