Random: Portal 64 Demake shows Portal running on “real N64 Hardware”
Valve’s Portal: Companion Collection will see the release Portal and Portal 2 on the Nintendo system for the first time, but have you ever wondered what the original 2007 game would have looked like if it had been released in the N64 era?
Well, now there’s a ‘Port 64′ rollout in the works. It is still under development, but in the video below you can see the contributor to the project’lambtjamesd‘Gun exhibits and portals. What’s even more impressive is that it appears to be running on real hardware and can go as deep as six ports.
“Gateway runs on real N64 hardware. In this update I’ve got the portal gun working with recursive port rendering. I’ve also made some big behind-the-scenes gains on the game engine.”
The same creator as ‘lambertjamesd’ previously released other Nintendo draws inspiration from creations like the Game Boy emulator that supposedly runs on real hardware and the ‘N64 real-time ball’.
