Random: Portal fans celebrate ‘Companion Collection’ with themed switch concept
Perhaps one of the most exciting announcements of this week’s Nintendo Direct is Portal: Companion Collection – two-in-one pack containing first and second game. It marks the first time Valve has when released its games on the Nintendo platform and it got the Portal community pretty excited.
Portal subreddit users’cmon1090‘ took this as an opportunity to share their photoshop concept of a Portal-themed Nintendo Switch – featuring a matching dock and Joy-Con. As you can see, there are all sorts of neat references to games, including joysticks as portals:
While we won’t be hoping for an official version of this, as noted in the same subreddit you can always choose with Portal-themed vinyl for your Nintendo Switch.
Portal: Companion Collection will launch “later this year” on Switch for $19.99 USD (or equivalent in your region) and was developed in collaboration with Nvidia Lightspeed Studios. Whenever it arrives, players can look forward to the single-player experience as well as the co-op mode in Portal 2 through split-screen and online multiplayer.
