Real Madrid’s local rivals Atletico Madrid are said to have approached Dani Ceballos’ entourage about a possible summer transfer.
According to Spanish newspaper MARCA, Atletico Madrid is one of the teams interested in the 26-year-old midfielder. In January, several Premier League clubs approached Ceballos, but Madrid quickly turned them down. It is reported that so far, Atletico Madrid has approached people close to Ceballos twice to know the will of this player. The most recent of these methods appeared only a few weeks ago. It is believed that the relationship between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid is very bad. Thus, Los Rojiblancos does not have an ethical problem when approaching a player who is still wearing the Real Madrid shirt.
On the other hand, Real Madrid have yet to approach Ceballos about a contract extension. It is claimed that the whites want to project the futures of seven potential free agents, including Ceballos, after only February and March.
Ceballos wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and respect the time the club has set.
