Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro With Up to 30 Hours of Battery Life, AptX Adaptive Codec Support Launched in India


Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro was launched in India on Friday, September 3 alongside the Redmi 10 Prime smartphone. The new true wireless stereo (TWS) headphones are essentially an improved Redmi AirDots 3 that Xiaomi launched in China in February. The Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro comes with dual drivers and has an IPX4-rated construction (for earbuds) for water and sweat resistance. The TWS headset also supports Qualcomm’s aptX adaptive codec. Other key highlights of the Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro include fast pairing for MIUI phones, a minimum latency of 86 milliseconds, and up to 30 hours of battery life. Overall, the Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro competes with the OnePlus Buds Z and the Realme Buds Air 2.

Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro price in India, availability

The price of Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro in India has been set at Rs. 2,999 (MRP Rs. 5,999). The headphones come in Blue, Pink and White colors and will be available for purchase through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and offline retailers starting at 12pm (noon) September 9 .

Earlier this year, Xiaomi brought the Redmi AirDots 3 to China at a price of CNY 199 (about Rs 2,200).

Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro specifications and features

Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro comes with dual dynamic drivers along with balanced armature and is powered by Qualcomm QCC3040 SoC. In terms of connectivity, the earbuds have Bluetooth v5.2 along with aptX Adaptive codec support to deliver low latency and improved audio output. The TWS earbuds have touch controls for voice calls, control music playback, and turn on the voice assistant. Furthermore, the Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro has an infrared (IR) sensor to enable in-ear detection that can automatically pause music when the headphones are removed.

Especially for users on phones with Xiaomi’s MIUI interface, Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro offers quick pairing, which brings up an on-screen pop-up by opening the cover of the charging case – similar to how AirPods Can be paired with iOS devices.

The headphones of the Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro have IPX4 certification for sweat resistance. Each earphone has a 43mAh polymer lithium-ion battery that is rated to provide up to seven hours of playback on a single full charge. On the other hand, the included charging case has a 600mAh polymer lithium-ion battery that offers up to 30 hours of total playback time. The carrying case also comes with a USB Type-C port for charging.
