Report: chipmakers are on track to spend $152 billion on manufacturing and new equipment in 2021, up 34% year-on-year, the strongest year-on-year growth since since 2017– Semiconductor manufacturers have sharply increased their capital spending (CapEx) this year to meet unprecedented demand for chips that will last for years.
