RHOP’s Ashley Darby confirms separation from Michael Darby after nearly eight years together
Another marriage has come to an end! ‘The Real Housewives of the Potomac’ star Ashley Darby confirmed talks are circulating about a split. After nearly 8 years of being together and having two children, Ashley and Michael Darby have decided to move on. Ashley reveals her truth to Bravo’s Daily food in a lengthy statement published Tuesday (April 19).
“Nearly eight years ago, when Michael and I said, ‘I do,’ we anticipate sharing every day from that point forward. Unfortunately, that is not our current reality. We have decided to separate,” Ashley said.
Ashley & Michael’s love story is coming to an end
Viewers of RHOP met Ashley and Michael in season one of the popular series. Like most relationships on reality TV, viewers get to taste the great, the good, the bad, and the ugly. From becoming parents to two-year-old Dean and one-year-old Dylan, to investigating Michael’s sexual assault allegations, the couple told TV it all.
However, Ashley insists there is not one situation or circumstance that ends the cooperation.
“People will quickly assume it’s reality TV intruding so much on the most personal parts of our lives, whether it’s the age gap, the cultural issue, or the difference in our lives. raise children. All of these things may have affected our pure love for each other, but none of these were the underlying reasons why we decided to go our separate ways.” Ashley continued, “We are both at very different stages in our lives right now and have different goals for our future. We both want the other to achieve true happiness and fulfillment and feel that we can’t do this together.”
Despite their tumultuous relationship, Ashley made it clear their commitment to parenting.
“While our romantic relationship has broken down, we will always love and respect each other. We also know that true happiness can only be achieved by continuing to work together and dedicate our hearts and souls to raising two beautiful sons, Dean and Dylan,” said Ashley. “They will always feel loved and supported, because they are truly made of love.”
Virginia law requires at least one year of separation before divorce

According to their report, the paperwork was filed in Virginia. The state allows “no-fault” divorce after “showing that for more than a year, one of the intended parties and the parties have been continuously living apart and apart without any living together.” according to the Virginia State Bar.
