He spent the first four seasons of his career with Chicago, having one of his best years as a starter in 2007 with an 11-8 record, 3.92 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with career highs at the start (32), pitch (195) and strike (183), before joining the Baltimore Orioles for a year.
Hill’s first term in Boston lasted from 2010-12, where he transitioned to a quitter. Since then, he has appeared for Cleveland (2013), Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (2014), New York Yankees (2014), Red Sox again (2015), Oakland Athletics (2016), Los Angeles Dodgers (2016- 19), Minnesota Twins (2020), Tampa Bay Rays (2021), New York Mets (2021) and Red Sox (2022).
