Rita Ora officially left the market.
The singer-songwriter appeared on the Heart Breakfast Show to promote her new song “You Only Love Me,” in which she confirmed that she and partner Taika Waititi are indeed married.
“Yes. Here we are,” Ora said when Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden asked her if she was married.
She went on to explain that they had a “perfect” wedding “exactly the way I wanted it,” without explaining further.
The singer said: “It was great and perfect. “Absolutely the way I want it to be – just to myself sometimes. It’s really sweet. … Sorry, it’s not very interesting! One day, we’ll have a big party. I’ll make time for a big, big party.”
The “You Only Love Me” music video shows Ora and her overzealous bridesmaids as she prepares for her wedding, while everything around her goes awry. It ends with the wedding party arriving at the venue, a castle on fire.
“When all kinds of rumors appear, just like her [married]? Is it her? I want to play on it,” the singer explained. “So this is my version of the wedding that wasn’t really planned. That’s my music video. But that doesn’t mean what really happened. But I wanted to play on the fact that I chose to keep it more private, the kind of experience that I had, and just for myself a little more, but I wanted to play to what I could, so this is what I’m giving the public about what might happen.
The Fifty shades of color actress and Thor: Love and Thunder The writer-director first became romantically involved in April 2021 when she shared a photo of the two hugging on Instagram with the caption: “Fun times, memories, random things on my phone and the things I love.”
The couple made their red carpet debut three months later at the movie’s premiere suicide squadand most recently, they co-hosted the MTV EMA 2022.
