What a spooky night!
Riverdale’s gangs are a lot smaller this season. On November 23, the episode “Chapter Ninety-seven: Ghost Stories” begins with the war between Serpents and Demons, leading to Toni (Vanessa Morgan) kills Danny, son of Darla by accident. The guilt was bad, but not as bad as the revenge that was coming her way. Riverdale town turned into Rivervale, or rather Murder Town, USA
Season six features another new character, La Llorona, a spirit that specializes in drowning children. When the vengeful ghost pursued Toni’s son Anthony, the mother was desperate to protect him. Things got really weird when Toni and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) keeps a word with La Llorona, who reveals that she was a maternity nurse who was blamed for the town’s high infant mortality rate and drowned by the townspeople. Darla summons her to punish Toni for killing Danny.
