Rogers services restored to ‘great majority’ of customers
After a day of outage on Friday, Rogers said on Saturday morning that services were restored to the “vast majority” of its customers.
“As our services come back online and traffic returns to normal, some customers may experience delays in getting back to full service” the company tweeted around 7 a.m. EDT.
The Rogers outage affected a number of mobile and internet services, banking, debit purchases, passport offices, and Canada’s ArriveCAN app.
The company said Friday night that services “begin to recover.” In a statement Friday night, Rogers CEO Tony Staffieri said the company had made “meaningful progress in bringing our network back online” and apologized for the disruption. service.
Rogers also said it will automatically credit customers to make up for lost service.
