Roman Abramovich moves his £1.5 billion fleet of superyachts to Turkey – safe from property vandals

Two of his boats, the Halo and the Garcon, this week arrived in Turkey, where they could not be seized.

They join his £1billion superyacht Eclipse and its sister ship, the £430m My Solaris, which was sent to the country in March.
It means it’s all out of reach for Britain, which leaves the former Chelsea owner’s assets frozen because of his connections to Vladimir Putin.
Abramovich, 55, has been trying to escape the embargo since the war broke out in Ukraine.
Halo and Garcon, worth £50m, were detained in port by Antigua and Barbuda.
However, the Caribbean country, which has no sanctioning laws, announced them on July 22 because UK authorities were unable to determine ownership.
Currently sailing under the flag of the Cook Islands, they have advanced in the Turkish port of Gocek.
Eclipse, which has its own missile defense system, and My Solaris, completed only last year, were seen in the cruise port of Marmaris.
Meanwhile, German lawyers representing Abramovich argued that he did not own Halo and Garcon.
