Bollinger Motors’ line of commercial electric trucks has a contract manufacturer: Roush Industries.
The companies announced Monday that Roush will assemble Bollinger’s line of Type 3 to Type 6 electric trucks at an expandable facility in Livonia, Michigan. The arrangement will include the platform and chassis cabs, and Bollinger will supply and supply Roush with materials.

Unfortunately, this relationship does not include the much-anticipated B1 electric SUV and B2 electric pickup. Both of those models has been postponed indefinitely in January, with the deposit refunded, as the company turned to larger commercial electric vans to survive.

In light of that decision, Bollinger noted that it had narrowed the list to just a handful of potential manufacturing partners for B1 and B2.

In the field of electric vehicles, startup Canoo, in recent months has changed its plans to assemble electric vehicles, cooperate with Roush to produce small quantity soon of beta vehicles and help with endurance testing. Other partners mentioned on Roush’s own website include Google and Polaris.
Bollinger noted Roush’s track record of working with both startups and established OEMs, noting that it will help the startup meet its quality and output goals. They said they would work with Roush on the vehicles before production and validation, but they did not give an exact schedule for the first deliveries.
