- Russia launched a new round of air strikes against Ukraine early Sunday morning, hitting an airport in the central region but failing to hit the capital Kiev, Ukrainian authorities said.
- Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said shelling by Ukrainian forces on Russia’s Belgorod continued throughout Saturday night after two people were killed the night before.
- The governor of the region said an air strike hit a residential area in the city of Dnipro, central Ukraine, killing a two-year-old girl and injuring 22 others.
- Five drones were shot down over the Crimean city of Dhzankoi, the regional governor appointed by Moscow said.

- German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius called on countries in the Indo-Pacific to take a clear stance against attacks on the international security architecture, such as Russia’s war in Ukraine.
- Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that France is unlikely to become a “moderator” in the conflict in Ukraine due to its active participation in the conflict.
- The Kremlin said journalists from “unfriendly countries” would not be recognized for the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the TASS news agency reported.
- Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yury Ushakov said Moscow and Washington “occasionally discuss prisoner exchanges”.
