Samsung Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 can launch without depth sensor: Report

Samsung Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 are said to launch as the next products of the Korean smartphone company. New Galaxy A-series smartphones could launch next year, and Samsung is said to be considering removing the depth-sensing rear camera from these upcoming models. With this, the Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34, and Galaxy A54 can pack three rear cameras unlike their predecessors, which sport a quad rear camera setup. These handsets could follow in the footsteps of the newly launched Galaxy M13, Redmi K50i and Moto G82 5G, among others.

According to a report by The Elec (in Korean), SAMSUNG is planning to remove the depth sensor from the upcoming mid-range Galaxy A-series smartphones. The company is said to be planning to counter the preference of Chinese smartphone makers by improving the camera specifications of the remaining sensors. The rumored Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 models are said to launch with triple rear cameras next year.

According to the report, the triple rear camera of the Galaxy A24 will include a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5-megapixel sensor. On the other hand, the Galaxy A34 is said to have a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 5-megapixel sensor. The Galaxy A54’s camera setup may have a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 5-megapixel camera sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54 will succeed Galaxy A23, Galaxy A33and Galaxy A53, corresponding. All of these available models feature a quad rear camera module. The Korean company’s purported move will not only help boost essential camera specifications for other sensors, but also potentially reduce the cost of handsets.
