San Sebastian film festival’s top awards go to women
SAN SEBASTIAN, SPAIN —
Feminine actors and filmmakers swept the highest awards on the San Sebastian movie pageant on Saturday, with the Golden Shell for the most effective movie going to “Blue Moon” (“Crai Nou”) by Romanian director Alina Grigore.
American actress and producer Jessica Chastain was honoured for her portrayal of Christian televangelist Tammy Faye Messner in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye” on the 69th version of Spain’s largest movie pageant.
Chastain shared the most effective main efficiency award with 16-year-old Flora Ofelia Hofmann Lindahl, who starred within the Danish movie “As in Heaven” (“Du som er i himlen”). Tea Lindeburg acquired the most effective director award for a similar movie.
It was the primary time that the movie pageant gave gender impartial awards, with none separate classes for women and men.
Tatiana Huezo’s “Prayers for the Stolen” (“Noche de fuego”) received the prize for the most effective Latin American movie.
