It comes because the Vatican announced the Pope would visit Canada for Indigenous reconciliation on Oct. 27.
Chief Cadmus Delorme instructed reporters former Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s apology for Canada’s position in residential schools had an influence on his late father, who was a residential faculty survivor.
