Saskatchewan NDP head Meili survives leadership review vote

REGINA —
Ryan Meili will stay the chief of Saskatchewan’s official Opposition after dealing with a evaluation Saturday.

Through the provincial NDP’s annual conference, 72 per cent of the delegates voted in opposition to having a management contest.

Consequently, Meili will stay on the get together helm.

The opposite 28 per cent voted in favour of a management contest, which might have launched a marketing campaign for another person to take the get together reins.

In whole, 446 votes had been solid by delegates.

The management evaluation is a part of the get together’s conference protocol.

This report by The Canadian Press was first printed Oct. 2, 2021.
