Saskatchewan reports 70 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths
Saskatchewan reported 70 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday with no additional deaths.
There are currently 696 active cases in the province, with 96 reported recoveries.
New cases are located in Northwest (five), North Central (10), Saskatoon (15), Middle East (11), Regina (seven), South Central (eight), Southeast (11) and three schools new cases with pending residency information.
One hundred and thirty-two Saskatchewan residents are in the hospital with 31 people in intensive care. Of the 132 patients, 88 were not fully vaccinated.
Three more patients are being cared for in out-of-province ICUs.
Since Saturday’s report, one resident receiving care outside the province has died. This information has yet to be entered into the system and will be included in the provincial COVID-19 dashboard when completed.
The seven-day average daily incidence was 66, or 5.5 per 100,000 people.
Healthcare workers have administered 1,760,834 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine – an increase of 3,296 from Saturday. There are 840,136 people fully vaccinated.
