With over 30 years in the industry, Meagan Good, an actress, producer, director and entrepreneur, has forged her own path across Hollywood. Her longevity in the industry is nothing short of impressive. Good first appeared in the acting world when she was new 4 age, appearing in shows like Doogie Howser and Amen. REMOVEy when she was a teenager, she starred in movies like Eve’s Bayou and the Nickelodeon show Skeeter’s cousin. After that, she continued to act in movies with big box office sales Think like a man and Anchorman 2.
In her latest role, which premiered earlier this month, Good leads the new Amazon series Harlem, produced by legends Amy Poehler and Pharrell, are from Girl’s trip writer Tracy Oliver. As Camille’s character and the show’s narrator, Good plays one of four friends who navigate sex and relationships and chase their dreams in New York City. As if an exhaustive list of her acting accomplishments and features weren’t epic enough, Good took a step behind the scenes in producing and directing. In fact, her first film co-directed, If not now, when?, was released last January and she is currently directing a short for Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud and the Sundance Institute Women Write Now screenwriting scholarship, which has partnered with NBCU to help the three editors plays black women bringing their vision to life.
