Second man sentenced after bodies found in Flint River | News
Considered one of three individuals charged in reference to two our bodies discovered floating within the Flint River in 2018 has been sentenced.
Robert Lee Wheeler pleaded no contest and in flip, certainly one of his first-degree murder costs was amended to second-degree murder, and his remaining costs have been dismissed.
Wheeler was sentenced to a minimal of 23.5 years and a most of 60 years in jail with credit score for 3 years and 92 days. He’s been ordered to pay $198 in fines and prices.
His authentic costs included two counts of first-degree murder, tampering with proof, and felony firearms.
In July 2018, two our bodies have been discovered floating below a door within the Flint River below the I-475 overpass within the metropolis of Flint. The victims have been recognized as 24-year-old Rodney Harden Jr. and 19-year-old Tedmundo Meeks.
Considered one of Wheeler’s co-defendants, Cheveyo Molina, was sentenced to a minimal of 20 years and a most of 30 years after a plea take care of prosecutors. The opposite co-defendant, Melinda Kelley, can be again in courtroom on Feb. 2 for a jury trial.
