released a new image from Joker 2, giving fans their first look at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in the highly anticipated sequel to one of the greatest movies of all time.
Gaga, Warner Bros., and director Todd Phillips shared the same image from the film. Phillips image captions, “Happy Valentine’s Day,” while Gaga used the title of the film in her tweet, “Folie a Deux.” Here’s the photo, featuring Gaga as Harley and Joaquin Phoenix as Joker:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming is underway on Joker 2 in New York and Los Angeles ahead of the film’s October 4, 2024 release date.
Joker of the Year 2019 was a huge success, earning more than $1 billion at the box office – on a modest budget – and earning Phoenix an Oscar for his portrayal of Joker. For Joker 2, Phoenix stands out earn 20 million dollars a day.
In addition to Gaga, Joker 2 adds a new cast that includes Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener, among others. As mentioned, Phillips returned to writing and directing.
