Before release Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movies, Sega and Jakks Pacific have announced a new line of merchandise – including action figures, plays, vehicles, plush toys and other collectibles including costumes.
Here’s the full rundown of what happens:
● Small figurines – A brand new line of 4-inch characters including Dr. Robotnik, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles will be available for $9.99. These movie-style figures feature 11 articulation points for customizable poses, as well as a unique accessory from the movie. For ages 3 and up, this first wave won’t last!
● Plush toy – 9-inch luxury classification based on fan-favorite characters from the movie. This super soft and cute plush comes in Sonic, Tails and Knuckles varieties. Made for ages 3 and up, you can find them on store shelves and online for $9.99 this spring. Additionally, the new 13-inch Sonic Plush will also be available exclusively at Target this spring. This plush high is super soft and pleasant to the touch. Made for ages 3 and up, the 13-inch Sonic Plush will be available for $19.99.
● Sonic Speed RC Kit – New Sonic Speed RC lets fans recreate the action from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This set includes an iconic ring-shaped controller for reciprocating, rotary, and rotary motion. RC lights up when you select Turbo mode for extra boost. The Sonic figure has a removable 6-inch scale articulation. This awesome RC is made for ages 4 and up and will be available for $39.99.
● Tornado Biplane Playset (Walmart Exclusive) – Only available at Walmart is the Tornado Biplane play set with Sonic and Tails figures. You can recreate your favorite moments from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 with this great drama. Press down on the plane to make the propeller spin. Tails can sit inside to control Tornado, and Sonic can ride on wings like in the movie. Includes the exclusive 2.5-inch Sonic figure and Tails figure, and will be available for $19.99.
● Scalable metrics (Target Exclusive) – As a Target-exclusive launch, JAKKS created a line-up of 2.5-inch scale characters including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Robotnik and Buzz Bomber. This gift collection brings together fan-favorite characters from the movie. They are full of poses, fun to display and kids can play with the stories from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. These numbers will be available at Target for $19.99.
