Shawn Mendes postpones world tour to focus on mental health

Shawn Mendes said he will be taking a break from his world tour for three weeks to focus on his mental health.
The musician, who grew up in Pickering State, Ontario, posted a statement on his Instagram account Friday night saying that a string of dates in the US will be postponed so he can “cure and take care of” for yourself.
Mendes writes that he’s always found it hard to be away from friends and family and that after a few years apart, he thinks he’s ready to “go back”.
But he said that decision was “too early” and that he had “reached a breaking point”, so after consulting with his team and medical experts, he decided to rest.
The pop singer began her Wonder world tour on June 27 in Portland, Ore., the first of more than 80 scheduled tours across North America in the fall before heading to Europe. Europe in 2023.
Mendes is scheduled to perform next in his hometown of Toronto on July 31.
