Sheriff: The kid who wandered around in the local hotel returns alone to his parents | News
A child found wandering the hallways of a local hotel alone has been reunited with his family.
At 5:43 a.m. Saturday, delegates were dispatched to 2222 Tittabawassee Street to the Country Inn and Suites for a child walking in the hallway of the second floor.
The child was unable to lead investigators to the room he was in, so delegates and hotel staff went door-to-door to speak to the occupants of each room. No one took the child.
The child is about 1.5 to 2 years old, 2.5 feet tall and weighs 26 lbs. She was spotted wearing a pink shirt with a penguin on it.
At 10:46 a.m. Saturday, Saginaw County Deputy Secretary Mike Gomez said the child had been returned to her parents.
“CPS interviewed the parents and was satisfied with their explanation,” Gomez said. “When CPS contacted the people in the room, they didn’t speak to an adult but was told by another minor that there was not a single missing child in the room. The juvenile did not check to confirm the identity of the child. bright.”
