Singapore stars spotted at K-pop girl group Blackpink’s concert

SINGAPORE — Several local celebrities were spotted at a concert by Korean girl group Blackpink last Saturday at the National Stadium.

Actress and model Jasmine Sim, 29, attended the show with actress Carrie Wong. Sim posted a picture of themselves on Instagram Stories and called Wong the “fifth unofficial member” of Blackpink.

In his retweet, 29-year-old Wong added the caption, “Kick in the door waving coconut,” in reference to the opening line of Blackpink’s song Pink Venom.

Other celebrities such as actress Jeanette Aw, actor Desmond Tan and deejay Jean Danker were also spotted at the show.

Local actresses Denise Camillia Tan, Tay Ying and Kayly attended the show as a group, along with deejay Hazelle Teo and Kuala Lumpur influencer Natasha Alexis.

Dressed in pink, armed with pink handheld fans and hammer-shaped lightsticks, the group sang and danced to songs throughout the show.

Teo, 29, wrote on Instagram: “When Blackpink’s concert was announced, we knew we had to watch it together.”

After the performance, Tan, 30, wrote: “Dance, sing and scream all night long. I’m a happy girl but I’m going to lose my voice and get blisters on my legs.”

And Tay, 27, wrote: “Be right back. Will recover from tonight.”
