Sinister Fishing Indie ‘Dredge’ Reveals 2023 Roadmap, Includes Free Updates & Paid DLC

If you somehow missed the “sinister fishing adventure” dredging when it launches on the Switch eShop in March, now might be the time to check it out.

New Zealand indie studio Black Salt Games has officially revealed what’s next for the title, with an outline of the content and DLC to be expected in each quarter of 2023. From the second quarter onwards, players can expect map markers, photo & wildlife modes, and boat paint. And then in Q4 of the year, there will be some paid DLC.

The first free update will arrive in May and will also include some bug fixes and balance changes. The second free update includes a passive mode for players looking for a “less stressful experience”. And another part of this update is the photo mode. Then in the third update, there will be boat customizations including paint scheme and flags.

The final DLC will focus on the mysterious Ironhaven Corporation. Here’s a bit of what to expect (via the PlayStation Blog):

“They’re looking to set up an innovative drilling operation in the area to revitalize towns and populations, but their ultimate goal is unknown. As you gather materials to build buildings new and biological material to fuel the rig, meet new characters, craft new equipment and catch new fish, you can uncover the truth behind the likely activities their unrighteousness.”
