Sixth suspect held in Udaipur beheading case | India News
JAIPUR: Facts NIA on Wednesday arrested residents of Udaipur Wasim Alisixth suspect detained for beheading of tailor Kanhaiya La la Sahu at his shop on June 28. He was taken before a special court of the NIA in Jaipur and detained by the police until July 12.
Sources said Wasim worked at a shop near Lal’s tailor shop in Udaipur. Wasim is said to have met and co-conspired with the two main defendants – Gaus Mohammad and Mohammad Riyaz – who admitted in a video beheading Sahu for supporting BJP’s Nupur Sharma. Before Wasim, the NIA picked up Mohammad Mohsin on Tuesday for allegedly aiding Gaus and Riyaz. The suspected “accomplices” Mohsin Khan and Asif were later detained for allegedly working in a tailor shop.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan cabinet, in a meeting headed by CM Ashok Gehlot, on Wednesday decided to relax the rules and give government jobs to both of Kanhaiya’s sons.
