‘Snags’ force AI Express, IndiGo jets to land in 3rd countries | India News
NEW DELHI: Two international flights by Indian airlines – IndiGo and Air India Express – redirecting to a third country, as a matter of precaution, after suspicious incidents were reported on Saturday and Sunday nights.
An Air India Express Boeing 737 (VT-AXX), flight IX-355, took off from Calicut at 11.06pm Saturday for Dubai. About 3 hours after the flight, some people observed a burning smell in the cabin. The crew did all the checks, but did not detect any smoke or fire. However, the pilots decided to change course to Muscat where they landed safely.
