Saturday night live openly participate in the midterm elections, Heidi Gardner assumes the role of PBS News Judy host Carline Woodruff.
She was joined by Mikey Day’s Dr. Oz, Kenan Thompson’s Herschel Walker, and Cecily Strong’s Kari Lake in the October 29 episode. Gardner Woodruff began the segment by introducing three contenders, who had since dropped out. below became the stars of the Republican Party – though she’s not sure how.
“Okay, all three of you have hit the headlines in the polls over the past few weeks even though none of you have any political experience,” she said. “Mr. Walker, you are now three points behind Senator Raphael Warnock. Why is your support growing?”
“And that’s where I don’t know,” Thompson’s Walker replied. “The whole world is a mystery. Right? For example, a thermos – it keeps things hot, but also keeps things cold. My question is, how does it decide? We’re looking at that a lot. ”
When asked why millions of people in Georgia voted for him, even though another woman came in saying he also paid for her abortion, and his ex-wife said he I used to put a gun to her head.
“Gas,” he replied. “Gasoline prices are really high.”
Gardner also asked Lake about her consistent denial that Joe Biden won the 2020 election and how Dr. Oz is ahead in the polls.
One of the sketches later on the show provoked Kanye “Ye” West to come to the Skechers to try and work with them, and they turned him down. “Thanks, but no thanks, Kanye,” Yang said, adding that West will likely find an ethically questionable company to work with, before cutting the commercial from My Pillow with James’ Mike Lindell Austin Johnson.
Tom Hanks appeared in a few sketches afterwards – one about an idea for an animated travel suitcase, proposed to be Woody’s version; and the second on a Halloween trip as David S. Pumpkins, a character previously played by Hanks SNL.
