sony: Sony has confirmed the official launch date of its Xbox Game Pass rival
Sony confirmed the official launch date for the refurbished PlayStation Pass. Updated PlayStation Pass takes cues from Xbox Game Pass where the company will provide a catalog of games to subscribers.
Sony has now dropped the official release date for the service for different regions via an official blog post.
The blog post reads: “We’re making amazing progress with our launch efforts and I wanted to keep you updated. We’ll be rolling out new PlayStation Plus deals a bit earlier in select markets in Asia, followed by Japan. Here’s a look at our updated regional rollout schedule. ”
Here’s the PlayStation Pass launch in select markets:
Asia (excluding Japan) – targeting May 23, 2022
Japan – targeting June 1, 2022
Americas – targeting June 13, 2022
Europe – targeting June 22, 2022
In India, the service will arrive on June 22 according to PlayStation India of the European region.
Additionally, the company also announced the expansion of its cloud streaming access to a total of 30 markets. The company will expand its cloud streaming access to Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia at launch.
