Sony Taps Emily Jerome to Write Frat Boy Thriller ‘Among the Bros’ – The Hollywood Reporter
Sony has set up emerging scribe Emily Jerome to tune in Among the Brosan upcoming book detailing the true story of one of the biggest drug deals in America
Written by journalist Max Marshall and published by HarperCollins, Bros is an investigative memoir that explores the deep and dark social roots of sisterhood culture in America. Marshall tackles the hidden story behind a 2016 bust in Charleston, North Carolina involving a capers that began as an attempt to join the cool kids of Charleston College and ended with a chain of treachery and a murder.
Marshall simultaneously chronicles his own time in the friendship and privileged lifestyle that unfolds before he becomes frustrated and gives up. The story reveals that the coverage of arrests and trials forces him to reckon with his own upbringing.

Jerome, a Columbia University graduate, was a journalist before turning to screenwriting with her script. Panopticon. That scenario is a thriller that addresses corruption in the US prison system and puts her on the Black List, putting her on the map for executives. Panopticon was later selected by Stuart Ford’s AGC Studios with Ridley Scott as producer.
