Steven Spielberg, Martin McDonagh, Todd Field and directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert were among the nominees in multiple categories for the 95th Academy Awards when the nominations were announced Tuesday.
Everything Anywhere All At Once leads the Oscars 2023 with a total of 11 nominations. That includes three awards each for filmmakers Kwan and Scheinert, who are nominated for best picture, director and original screenplay.
Following closely behind on the list of nominees is Inisherin’s Banshees with nine. Director McDonagh was the recipient of three of them, with the filmmaker, who won an Oscar in 2005 for his short film Six-shot gunNominated for Best Picture, Director and Original Screenplay.
The same representative in those three categories is Spielberg for his loosely autobiographical film. Fabelman’s house, has scored a total of seven Oscar nominations. In addition, Todd Field will serve as the image, director and original script for tarThere are six nominations.
Sad triangle filmmaker Östlund was nominated for best director and original screenplay. The film itself earned three nominations, including best picture. Also earning two nominations is Tony Kushner, who is recognized for his work on Fabelman’s house in the Best Picture and Original Screenplay categories.
In a special situation this year was Andy Nelson, who was nominated for two different projects. The recording mixer received nominations in the sound category for his work on both Batman and Elvis.
