Roblox is looking for game developers and studios, including those new to our platform, who love experimenting with new technology and want the opportunity to bring their great vision to life. living. And to help them achieve their creative goals, we launched the Game Foundation to provide the resources they need to build the next generation of experiences on Roblox.
Applications are now open. Our goal is to work closely with you to provide not only the funding but also the support you need to push the boundaries of what the Roblox experience can offer. We’ve greenlit some early applications, including neonKnights, a classy cyberpunk role-playing game; Rolling Thunder, a realistic first-person military action game; and Winds of Fortune, an open-world seafaring adventure – and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
Eligible project
We are looking for projects with innovative gameplay, ambitious visual designs and innovative ideas unlike anything else on the platform. We will prioritize ideas that include:
- Multiplayer, cross-platform game, with mobile optimization in mind
- The social mechanism is the key to the experience
- In-game avatars that reflect the user’s background avatar identifiers
- Ability to take advantage of “metaverse” items (i.e. items that can be equipped on the platform avatar, like those in the Avatar Shop)
If you are accepted into the program, we will work with you to define key tasks for your project and provide funding based on your progress towards those milestones.
