AhsokaThe upcoming Disney Plus series, which is rapidly turning into a live-action sequel to Star Wars. The newest addition to the show’s cast is Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society), who will play Mandalorian Sabine Wren in the series, Lucasfilm announced at Star Wars Celebration 2022. She will be joined by Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka and many more unannounced members before the show was released in 2023.
Sabine Wren is a member of the Rebellion and a Mandalorian. Rebels fans will remember her as one of the most important characters in that series, and for her signature painted armor. Sabine’s casting also hints at something about the show’s overall plot. In the conclusion of Star WarsWren and Ahsoka set out together to find their friend Ezra Bridges, who got lost at the end of the series.
It seems Ahsoka could end up somewhere on their journey with both women still on a mission to save Ezra. Supporting this idea was the fact that Celebration attendees were apparently shown live-action images of Sabine and Ahsoka standing in front of Ezra’s own mural. Star Wars‘Chopper the droid, who also joins the cast of Ahsokaalso appear in Celebration.
Ahsoka there will also be Mary-Elizabeth Winstead (scott traveler vs world) and Ray Stevenson (God of thunder). Dave Filoni will serve as executive producer and one of the screenwriters for Ahsokabut we still don’t know who will direct or write the rest of the series.
