Starfield trailer teases more than 1,000 discoverable planets, ships that can fly
Starfield, Bethesda’s ambitious new role-playing game, which seems to be a combination of The Elder Scrolls and ambitious space travel games like Dangerous elite and Star Citizen project. In a presentation that was streamed live on Sunday, game director Todd Howard lifted the much-anticipated game’s cover to reveal customizable, flyable spacecraft as well as 100 systems star system and over 1,000 different worlds to explore.
Long trailer, shown during a joint presentation with others Xbox Game Studios and the time coincides with Summer Game Festival, which also sets the plot of the game. In the year 2330, StarfieldIts players are allied with Constellation, described as “the ultimate group of space explorers” who are on a quest to retrieve lost artifacts of alien origin. The cast includes a multi-generational, multi-cultural crew, and the story can also ponder or attempt to prove the existence of true divinity.
Regardless, there will be spaceships, sunsets, and useful companions of robotsalong with what promises to be another great soundtrack from Inon Zur. In the tradition of other Bethesda RPGs, Starfield will include highly customizable character creation, craftable weapons and weapon modifiers, as well as the player’s base. The highlight of Sunday’s presentation, however, was the ship customization system, which includes options for multiple components from multiple manufacturers. Players will even be able to fly and fight in their ships from a first or third person perspective.
Announced in 2018 with The Elder Scrolls 6, Starfield originally booked for a Released November 11, 2022. Last month, that date was pushed back to first half of 2023. Delays are reminded an apology from the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer.
“These decisions make it difficult for the teams making the game and our fans,” Spencer wrote on social media at that time. “While I fully support giving teams time to release these great games when they’re ready, we’re still hearing feedback. Delivering quality & consistency is to be expected, we will continue to work to better meet those expectations. ”
Starfield will launch for Windows PC and Xbox Series X, and it will be playable at launch via Xbox Game Pass.
