Steelers confirm Heinz Field is now Acrisure Stadium

Report emerged early Monday claiming that Heinz Field, home of the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelerswill soon be renamed Acrisure Stadium.

The Steelers confirmed that news Monday afternoon. According to the team’s official statement, Acrisure, an insurance brokerage in Michigan, has a 15-year contract for the stadium. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Steelers moved from Three Rivers Stadium to Heinz Field in 2001, and the Pittsburgh-based ketchup company previously held the naming rights to the venue for the past 21 years. It is not clear why Heinz did not renew his contract with the Steelers.
