Opening night last night GQ Global Innovation Award is a high-octane set of the world’s boldest and most innovative multihyphenates. When our issue cover featuring Tim Cook, Donald Glover (wearing a lacquered green Valentino jacket) and Hoyeon (wearing a floral embroidered Louis Vuitton dress) walked the red carpet, the party continued. inside with seafood tower and Bombay Sapphire cocktail.

And while the theme of the evening may be celebrating big ideas for a better world, the party is a big New York City event. And in NYC, if you find yourself wandering certain streets, you’re sure to come across one (or several) sidewalk artists selling illustrations of famous faces. So it was fitting that guests at our party received their own custom illustrations, thanks to our resident artist Greg Dohlen. Presented by Bombay Sapphire and hosted by local fashion fâneur Mordechai Rubinstein, aka Mr. MortImportant figures such as Hoyeon, Zazie Beetz, A$AP Ferg, Luka Sabbat, etc. posed for souvenir portraits and answered interview questions about what inspires their creativity, while upstairs, French jazz duo DOMi & JD continues the vibe.
