Steve Kerr deletes protocols, returns to Warriors
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has exited the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols and will be available to coach the club for the Western Conference Finals, every Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
Kerr has got into NBA’s coronavirus protocol ahead of Game 4 in the Golden State Conference’s Semi-Final series against the Grizzlies. Warriors head coach Mike Brown, who will be leaving the Golden State bench to become Head Coach of kings next season, replacing Kerr in the final three games of the series. Brown led the Warriors to a final 4-2 victory in the second series.
The Warriors will play in the Conference Finals for the sixth time since Kerr was hired before the 2014-15 season. Golden State will face the winner of Sunday’s Game 7 between the top-seeded Suns and fourth-seeded Mavericks.
Kerr provided an update on the health of the Golden State Reserve going forward Otto Porter Jr., also. Kerr noted that Porter did not attend field practice sessions with his team, every ESPN’s Kendra Andrews. Porter missed the Warriors’ Game 6 win over the Grizzlies do right knee pain.
