Steven Moffat on ‘Time Traveler’s Wife,’ ‘Doctor Who,’ Sherlock – The Hollywood Reporter

4. Showrunner Spotlight
We joined this week by Steven Moffatlongtime presenter on Which doctor? and Emmy Award-winning co-creator of Sherlock. Moffat, who has also adapted Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and vampire for television is currently the host of the HBO adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Wife, based on the best-selling book by Audrey Niffenegger. The host shares his fascination with time travel stories, making Wife is an ongoing TV series and why he’s drawn to adapting some of the biggest characterizations around. “I’m just a fanboy,” he said. “I’m not a converter to rent and I never even though I wanted to be a serial converter. … It was an act of public worship in a way. Moffat also discussed his thoughts on the new Doctor, the future of Sherlock and his respect for Wife in “The Girl in the Fireplace.”

5. Critics’ Corner
As usual, each episode ended with Dan giving his assessment of what to watch over the next week. In this episode, he reviews HBO Max’s Hack, Apple Essex Snake, Netflix’s Attorney Lincoln, Amazon’s The children in the hall and HBO’s The Time Traveler’s Wife.
