Shreveport police said the baby was safe and the suspect was in custody.

Vehicles were brought from the Burger King parking lot at 6700 Pines Street.

Caddo deputies stopped the SUV at Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and Walker Street after the man hit two other vehicles.

Delegates were working when the accident discovered that the car was stolen, so they chased. According to Shreveport Police, a family friend in the SUV spotted the stolen vehicle and flagged a deputy before giving chase.

That man then assisted Vice-Captain Caddo in stopping the suspect.

The suspect has been turned over to Shreveport police and is likely to face kidnapping and vehicle theft charges.
