As we move into week 6 of the NFL season, let’s take a look at the value of Super Bowl futures bets. Now that we’ve seen enough and have enough stats we can begin to see who are the real contenders and for betting purposes which long shots are worth the value. The Los Angeles Rams were the defending champions and based on the performance of Stafford and Co. So far this season, +2300 is not high enough for repeat odds.

Buffalo Bills, NFL (+300)
Josh Allen and the Bills lead as the current favorites and except for the previous 2 point loss Dolphin, they dominated the whole season. Offense happens on a weekly basis, and if everyone remains healthy, expect to see Allen and Diggs play pitch and advance deep into the knockout stages. The public has cruised the Bills a lot this season, and though they prove it on the field every week, the odds reflect it.
Kansas City Chiefs, NFL (+650)
Next is Mahomes and the chiefs. Looking to restore respect to their name, Mahomes has led a strong charge to date. They are also almost undefeated, except for one particular loss to the Colts, 40-3. Sitting at +650 by Mahomes standards now, that might be the best we’ll catch for the Chiefs.
Philadelphia Eagles, NFL (+700)
Jalen Hurts and the Eagle is the shiny new toy for the gambling world this season. While leading the Eagles as the last undefeated team in the league, the Hurts also landed themselves on the MVP roster early. The team has made great strides on both sides of the ball. Fantasy football managers should be shocked at the leap Miles Sanders has achieved. Betting them to win the NFC East might seem like a lock, but +700 for the Eagles all the way looks pretty good.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, NFL (+950)
“Tompa Bay” topped the NFC South with a 3-2 record. In the next 2 weeks, Buccaneers will take over Steelworker and Panthers. Don’t expect an unsettled jump at +950, but it will prove to be two easy games that allow the busy Buccaneers locker room to lock and off-court events to disappear. Given that the Bucs will have to go through the Eagles, that line may not move much until the knockouts.
