The Hamster team continues to release weekly classics for its Arcade Archives series, and the next person to hit the eShop is a household name. This week’s release (on January 6th) will SUPER PAC-MAN, priced at $7.99 / €7.99.
The name Super is because it’s a sequel to the original video game and to be fair, it’s a more interesting name than Pac-Man 2. Some of the details are below, with a major press release. about block capitalization:
“SUPER PAC-MAN” is an action game released by NAMCO in 1982. It is a power-up addition to NAMCO’s flagship title, “PAC-MAN”! Eat SUPER POWERFUL Dish to become invincible and gain speed! Eat PELLET POWER then and become SUPER PAC-MAN to kill all the ghosts at once!
It will have all the usual Hamster benefits, but it should be noted that this may not be the most economical way to play it on the Switch. Last year, Bandai Namco confirmed that The PAC-MAN+ Museum will arrive on Switch early this year, there are 14 games in the series (including this one).
Whichever option you choose, it’s a pleasure to see classics like this renewed on Nintendo’s system.
