Supermodel Jerry Hall cites ‘irreconcilable differences’ in filing for divorce from Rupert Murdoch

Supermodel Jerry Hall cited “irreconcilable differences” when she filed for divorce from media giant Rupert Murdoch and asked a judge to formally end their six-year marriage.

Ms. Hall, 65, whose married name is Jerry Murdoch, filed for a permanent separation in court papers filed in Los Angeles County Court on Friday, according to DailyMail.com.

There was no mention of a prenuptial agreement in the divorce proceedings filed by her lawyer to end her marriage to 91-year-old Mr Murdoch, whose personal fortune is estimated at 7.68 billion dollars (£6.35 billion).

In her lawsuit, Ms. Hall said she was not fully aware of the extent of Mr Murdoch’s assets and that her records would be revised “when the information has been verified”.

“Plaintiff is unaware of the nature and adequacy of all separate property assets and liabilities, and will amend this Petition when the information has been ascertained,” the petition said. clearly stated.

Ms. Hall’s attorney, Ronald F Brot, claimed in the paperwork that the couple married on March 4, 2016, but their date of separation is listed as “TBD.” Mr. Murdoch has 30 days to submit a response through his own legal team.

Letters reported that Ms. Hall had filed for divorce just hours after Mr. Murdoch emailed her to say the marriage was over. She claimed to have told friends she was “heartbroken” and “devastated” by her marriage falling apart and blamed Mr Murdoch’s adult children for the split, according to the news agency.

Court papers say Ms Hall’s current home, Mr Murdoch’s 13-acre vineyard in Bel Air, California, is believed to be worth around $37 million (£30.5 million).

Ms Hall was previously in a long-term relationship with Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger, with whom she shares four children: Elizabeth, 38, James, 36, Georgia May, 30, and Gabriel, 24.

This will be the fourth divorce for the Fox News boss, who has six children with Patricia Booker, Anna Mann and Wendi Deng.
