Tawanchai ready to rematch Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong

Tawanchai PK.Saenchai is happy to win back with the only one to lose to him under the banner of ONE Championship.

Tawanchai is about to have a decisive victory over Petchmorakot Petchyindee to win the Muay Thai ONE featherweight world championship. He is expected to defend his belt against dangerous Turkish striker Jamal Yusupov in the ONE Fight Night 7 co-main event on Prime Video.

If he passes the first test as the ONE world champion, the Thai star could look down on his rematch with Sitthichai Sitsonpeenong later this year. About that, he told ONE:

“It really goes up to ONE. It wouldn’t be a problem if they watched to arrange a fight between me and Sitthichai. Nothing to be revenged on, though. Because he has my respect. But if ONE wants this fight to happen, then I’d be happy to go up against him.”

Two Muay Thai icons meet at ONE: Battleground III in August 2021, with Sitthichai headed through a closely contested split decision.

Although Sitthichai usually competes in ONE’s decisive kickboxing featherweight division, the chance to go head-to-head with a man he’s already beaten for the ONE world title on the ropes might be too good a chance to pass up. via.

North American fans can watch Tawanchai’s next game on February 24th live and for free on Prime Video with an Amazon subscription.

Iconic striker John Wayne Parr is a fan of Tawanchai on and off Circle

Legendary Muay Thai star John Wayne Parr is a fan of Tawanchai PK.Saenchai, calling featherweight Muay Thai fighter ONE one of the heaviest fighters on the tournament’s roster.

When it comes to his attitude outside of the circle, Parr called the Thai fighter one of the most humble fighters he’s ever met in a recent Instagram post:

“One of the coolest things about being in @onechampionship is making friends with all the boxers. One of the most humble yet scariest has to be @tawanchay_pk. Super unassuming in the hotel, but in the circle, one of the hardest working people on the list.

Parr, a former WMC Muay Thai world champion, ended his iconic fighting sport career last year at the ONE Championship, ONE X 10th anniversary showcase.

Although Parr lost his final match to former ONE lightweight world champion Eduard Folayang, that didn’t diminish his status as one of the greatest strikers of all time.

‘Shooter’ closed his career with 99 victories and a series of world championships after 35 years of competition.
