The teacher behind the initiative said after bringing attention to school shootings across the country that in many cases stemmed from bullying. Demetria McFarland said she wants to make sure that tragedies don’t happen on her watch.
McFarland is adamant about scheduling interventions and just making sure to pay attention and communicate with those who are doing the bullying and those who are being bullied.
“I really feel that if we’re proactive if parents follow the social media site, they can stop something from happening and they can help before it becomes something big,” McFarland said. than.
