They were visiting family in Wisconsin and were flying back to Dallas.
Ezekiel was playing with his bear and threw it high on the rafters, where it got stuck.
His family had to make their flight and leave the bear behind.
Ezekiel was frustrated and cried on the way home, his father said.
Airport staff discovered the bear in January and brought it down.
That’s when his story was shared on social networks.
The post was shared thousands of times before Ezekiel’s mother recognized the bear.

Airport staff were able to locate Ezekiel.
Southwest Airlines brought Ezekiel and his father to Milwaukee for a reunion Tuesday morning.
Ezekiel said he was “very happy” when he returned to hug the bear.
He said the bear’s name was “Original Teddy.”
