Teen charged with DUI in crash that killed 3 members of Madison County family | St. Louis News Headlines
MADISON COUNTY, Unwell. (KMOV.com) – A person has been charged within the deadly crash of three folks in Madison County on Aug. 13.
The crash occurred on the intersection of McCoy Highway and Bethalto Highway. John Cafazza, 55, Melissa Cafazza, 52, and their son Dominic Cafazza, 12, all of Bethlato, Illinois have been pronounced useless on the scene.
Blake Jones, 18, is charged in a crash that killed three members of 1 Metro East household.
John Cafazza was driving a BMW 595i and was stopped on the intersection when a 2003 GMC Sierra going eastbound on McCoy Highway did not cease at a cease signal and hit the BMW, which was making an attempt to show left onto McCoy Highway. The 18-year-old driver, Blake Jones, of Worden, Illinois, of the Sierra was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening accidents.
A household of three was killed in a two-car crash in Madison County, Illinois Friday.
Jones has been charged within the crash. He’s charged with 5 counts of aggravated driving with a blood alcohol stage .08 or extra leading to dying and three counts of reckless murder. Jones turned himself in Thursday.
“The lack of John, Melissa, and Dominic has been a horrible tragedy for all the group,” mentioned Madison County State’s Lawyer Thomas Haine. “Our workplace will work to make sure justice is served for the Cafazza household.”
